Boss Jones delighted with League Cup quarter-final win at Deal

Sevenoaks Town are through to their first cup semi-final for three years after an exciting 6-4 aggregate win over Deal on Tuesday night. They cruised into a 4-0 lead early in the second-half, but the home side, unbeaten at home this season, launched a late rally, scoring three times and hitting the post twice on a freezing night down on the Kent coast. Town held on, despite finishing with 10 men following the dismissal of top scorer Billy Shinners, and boss Simon Jones was delighted, but admitted: "It showed what a great team we are going forward, but we switched off after about 70 minutes, and made it competitive."
