Weir hat-trick wears down Town in first defeat of the year
Sevenoaks Town 1 Beckenham Town 4
A 15 minute second-half hat-trick by Beckenham Town striker Anthony Weir settled this Bulmers Cider Kent League Premier Division contest at chilly Greatness Park on Tuesday night.
Sevenoaks made the perfect start with Tony Atkins heading them in front in just the second minute with a near post header, but they were on the back foot for the rest of the first half.
Sean Funnell made some important stops, and several last ditch blocks averted the danger, with Beckenham also hitting a post.
Weir, equalised five minutes after the break, added his second six minutes later and completed his quickfire treble after 65 minutes.
He also made the fourth, crossing from the left for substitute Perry Belchamber to score in stoppage time, condemning Sevenoaks to their first defeat of the year on a disappointing night for the home side.
Sevenoaks Town: Sean Funnell, Toby Webb, Charlie Burgess, Danny Twin, Michael Cook, Joe Minter (Badar Mohamad 67mins), Danny Ward, John Alegbe (Ossie Bayram 58mins), Chris Walker, (Daniel Akpoveta 67mins), Tony Atkins, Billy Shinners. Subs not used: Adam Porter Michael Mullane.

Atkins and Mohammed set for only second league games
Sevenoaks Town v Beckenham Town
Tony Atkins and Badar Mohammed are set to play only their second league games for Sevenoaks Town against Beckenham Town in the Bulmers Cider Kent League Premier Division at Greatness Park on Tuesday night.
The winter break, bad weather and a backlog of outstanding Cup ties means that the pair signed from Holmesdale, have played only one league game - the 3-2 win at Corinthian on December 12.
Atkins is cup tied in the League Cup, while Badar is also ineligible to play in the competition, and the Umbro Kent Senior Trophy after playing in both for the Bromley club earlier in the season.
Atkins faces one of his old clubs, while Michael Cook should return after missing the trip to Deal on Saturday.
The re-arranged quarter-final tie means the league game at home to Hythe Town, scheduled for Saturday has to be re-arranged, with the reserve game at Deal now switched to Greatness Park.
